Wow! Stunning example of Native Copper! She is 86g and 32 mm.

Native copper specimens from Kazakhstan are highly regarded in the mineral collecting community, primarily originating from the Itauz Mine in the Karagandy Region (also known as Karaganda Oblast or Ulytau Region).
Key characteristics include:
Formation: They typically form as intricate dendritic or crystalline structures, often exhibiting spinel twinning.
Appearance: Fresh surfaces have a reddish, orangish, or brownish color. Older specimens, particularly early finds from around 2006-2008, often display a distinctive reddish-brown oxidation patina.
Quality: The locality is known for producing some of the finest copper specimens found in recent decades.
Physical Properties: Native copper is known for being malleable and relatively soft, with a Mohs hardness of 2.5–3.
